Development of a Geotechnical Database using the Geographic Information System Approach

The present work aimed primarily to carry out a synthesis of the nature soil in town Djelfa and develop database existing geological geotechnical data that are available order put them at disposal all potential users, whether scientific or operational. carried consisted collecting organizing on geographical information system. criteria were first identified (allowable stresses, allowable depths, etc.) then maps with different important factors developed. Subsequently, these superimposed arrive, after succession generalizations map, an official final map terms. interpretation obtained results allows for identifying contributions placing limits trying apply this method other sites presenting similar problems context. It should be noted produced intended enlighten decision-makers planners when dealing areas expected urbanized. They can also helpful conducting preliminary study before study.
